NEW MEXICO HOLOCAUST AND INTOLERANCE MUSEUM

Exhibit Director, “African American Slavery, 1619-1866”

In charge of all research, collection of materials, and presentation in the construction of the Museum’s exhibit on the history of African American slavery. Responsible for all copy writing, editing and cataloging of all sources utilized. Also responsible for working directly with graphic designers to meet budgetary constraints and museum deadlines.

  • Recruited and coordinated volunteer members of the University of New Mexico’s history and psychology departments to ensure accuracy and continuity of historical material as well as keeping potentially difficult and graphic material accessible to all visitors.
  • Reported directly to board of directors to discuss and implement exhibit budget, presentation deadlines and content of written copy and visual materials.
